This website is operated by The Critec Group Ltd (“Critec”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 11700212. Our registered office is 1 Bryning Avenue, Wrea Green, Preston, Lancashire PR4 2WL. You can contact us at info@critecgroup.com.

02

Acceptance of these terms

By using this website you agree to these Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised, and the version published here applies from that date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

03

Use of the website

You may view, download and print content from this website for your own reference, including in connection with evaluating or working with Critec. You must not republish, redistribute or commercially exploit content from the site without our prior written permission.

You must not use the website:

  • in any way that damages the site, impairs its availability, or interferes with anyone else's use of it;
  • to gain, or attempt to gain, unauthorised access to the site, the systems on which it is hosted, or any connected system;
  • to introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code;
  • to scrape, harvest or systematically extract content or data, including for the training of machine-learning models, without our written permission;
  • for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or in breach of any applicable law, regulation or government order.
04

Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, graphics, images, video, page design and underlying code — is owned by or licensed to Critec and is protected by copyright, trade marks, database rights and other intellectual property rights. Nothing on this site grants any licence or right to use any trade mark, logo or service mark displayed on it without the owner's prior written permission.

Client names, logos and accreditation marks shown on this site remain the property of their respective owners and are used to describe our experience and credentials, not to imply any endorsement of this website.

05

Information, not advice

The content of this website is provided for general information about Critec and our services. It does not constitute security, engineering, legal or other professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such. Any engagement with Critec is governed by a separate written agreement and scope of work, and nothing on this site forms part of any contract unless expressly agreed in writing.

06

Links to other websites

Where this site links to third-party websites, those links are provided for convenience only. We do not control third-party sites, we accept no responsibility for their content or practices, and a link does not imply our endorsement.

07

Availability and disclaimers

This website is provided “as is” and “as available”. While we take reasonable care to keep the site accurate, secure and available, we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or other harmful components, and we may alter, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice.

You are responsible for configuring your own technology to access the site and for using appropriate virus protection.

08

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to that, and because access to this website is provided free of charge: we exclude all conditions, warranties and representations implied by law; we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or your reliance on its content; and in particular we will not be liable for loss of profits, revenue, anticipated savings, business, contracts, goodwill or commercial opportunity, loss or corruption of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.

We will not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control.

09

General

If any provision of these terms is found by a court or competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as deleted to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

No delay or failure by either party to exercise any right or remedy is a waiver of that right or remedy.

You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected.

These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding use of this website. The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 does not apply to these terms.

10

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute arising from them (including non-contractual disputes) is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
